As of July 7, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has raised the minimum settlement funds required for foreign nationals applying for permanent residence through certain Express Entry streams.
Applicants under the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) and the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) must now show at least $500 more than before. For single applicants, the required funds have increased from $14,690 to $15,263.
To remain eligible, candidates must update the proof of funds in their Express Entry profile no later than July 28, 2025. Official documentation verifying the availability of these funds is mandatory.
